Remote Ordering enhancements

There have been several enhancements to the Web Connect Remote Ordering system.  These enhancements are designed to provide a convenient way for your sales staff to create and manage sales orders even when they don’t have access to the Prophet 21 system. This release expands the capabilities of the Web Connect “Remote Order Form” in several ways:

• “One-Click” Remote Order Creation:  Web Connect users can now copy existing P21 Quotes and Orders to Web Connect Remote Orders with the click of a button. This makes it possible for a sales rep to rapidly generate a working order without having to manually add each item to the order form – saving the user valuable time and reducing the chances of data entry errors.  The resulting Remote Order can then be edited to meet the customer’s needs.
• Remote Order Opportunities: Web Connect Remote Orders and Quotes can now be linked to P21 Opportunities within the Web Connect system.  This allows remote sales personnel to better manage their sales funnels.
• Remote Order Contacts and Emails: The Web Connect Remote Order Form now allows the user to associate an unlimited number of P21 contacts with the Remote Order or Remote Quote.  The user can then generate “Pre-Quote” and “Pre-Order” emails to the contact listing with the Remote Order/Remote Quote item details.
• Additional Import Fields: The new Remote Order Form provides additional fields such as Delivery Method and Ship-to Address that can allow the user more control over the resulting P21 Order.
• Addition Permission Settings: There are several new permission settings that can be defined on a “per-user” basis for the Remote Order Form. This makes it possible to restrict individual users to specific capabilities. For instance it is possible to restrict an individual sales rep to only be able to create Quotes and have them always be imported un-approved.
• Barcode Scan File Import/Text File Import: Web Connect adds the ability to import delimited text files into a Remote Order.
